usc house of harmony
editor
House of Harmony is an artistic experience that combines fashion, film, dance, and music to tell stories of empowerment through three stages: Discovery. Resistance. Rebirth. Edited for two of the three short films.Discovery: This film focused particularly on the feeling of freedom and "release" you get when you engage in performing arts.Resistance: This film visually demonstrates cultural appropriation and theft through a hyperbolic narrative.

In the ample free time that I have, I like to push the boundaries of my editing capabilities through the creation of stylized lyric videos (basically TikTok edits).I have amassed over 350,000 likes through the six posts I have on my account. Just goes to show how powerful visualizers paired with music can be for growing artists!

my roommate at the time told me that he was having his directorial debut with a music video project. as you can tell by the projects i have worked on, i was elated to hear about it, to the point where i decided to hop on as editor for the project!the project is set to release in july. i had a blast editing this project! it was super easy to get feedback, since the director of the project lived directly above me.

1st ever music video created with a friend of mine. this video means everything to me as it was the first project to start off the music videos department that i run in the asian pacific cinematic association at usc.kogoya received 2.5k views on youtube to help him organically grow his song pleasedontbreakmyheart to over 36k listeners on spotify.

had the amazing opportunity to work with yung kai, currently one of the fastest growing music artists in asia, to create a lyric visualizer for his recent song "do you think you could love me?"the video has now garnered over 2 million views and 62,000 likes for the artist. my favorite part about this project was being able to truly explore the beauty of the los angeles area for the first time!

about me!
here's everything that you need to know about me! i promise i don't bite...

**My first ever experience with video editing was a video game montage as a birthday gift for my best friend in 6th grade. Seeing the smile and laughs from his first watch of the video taught me something about video editing: that my new-found skill could inspire and bring joy to others. Now, I spend countless hours running (and still editing) media projects I never would have thought i'd have been a part of. Thankfully, I'm more than confident in saying that my 6th grade self would be proud of where I have come!

during the covid-19 quarantine, i decided to take the opportunity to fulfill a childhood dream of mine: becoming a content creator. it was a rough start, but with consistency and a dash of luck, i was able to grow my twitch channel to 20,000 followers and my tiktok account to 200,000 within the span of 9 months. this experience gave me a deeper understanding of how online audiences function, how to successfully cultivate a community of supporters, and most importantly allowed me to make lifelong friends in a period of isolation!
now my time is spent at at the university of southern california, where i study the business of cinematic arts, a major that combines the business and creative aspects of the entertainment industry. in this major, i met a friend that also shared an interest in both music and creative visualization. together, we started a Music Videos Program in the beginning of our Fall 2023 semester. Under our supervision, the program has now successfully curated 4 music video projects for upcoming Asian-identifying artists. the photos you have been seeing are pictures from each set!Artists: Kogoya, Aleyna Moon, Tealousy, Asumuh
